Hi, Cornelia here today, playing with hot glue. During my prolonged period of inactivity (eye-problems) I came upon a cool video on you tube (by Connie McFarlane) and ever since I wanted to try this out. You'll see that I have not fully mastered this technique, but I am still happy enough with the results, so I'll share it with you here.

I started out with a small strip of water color paper and placed some hot glue lines on it.

While the glue is still hot you take a pointed tool (a thick needle or perhaps a knitting needle) and run it through the glue.

Sprinkle the glue with embossing powder while it's still hot and sticky and heat it with your heat tool. I wanted actually to be in gold, so I tried Inka gold, but it did not stick (that's where the gold is coming from...)

The black embossing powder created some cool pattern on the glue in my experiment. But I liked it, so I did not add more.

I then filled in the white spaces with water color and some more Inka Gold.

Here is the finished panel:

I used teal paper as back drop and glued it onto white card stock. Added the sentiment and rounded one corner.

It looks really cool in real life. I will definitely do this again and next time I watch the video beforehand and not rely fully on my memory.... it would have helped ....

Happy stamping!
